It is with great regret that the IRBC announce that Joe Hobbs has stepped down from the IRBC in his role as Webmaster. The fruits of his time on the Committee are visible to all in the beautifully presented and professional website that the IRBC now possesses, www.irbc.ie. However, Joe brought skills and knowledge far exceeding the narrow remit of Webmaster and has been an invaluable member of the team. His zeal to keep abreast of all the latest taxonomic developments has been of particular benefit in the maintenance of the Irish List and his attention to detail has been vital to the production of the Irish Rare Bird Reports. Above all however, it is Joe's honest attitude to work, his drive not to let anyone down and his constant good humour that has made Joe a pleasure to work with. True to his standards, Joe has indicated that he will continue to carry out routine maintenance on the website on an ongoing basis, for which we are very grateful.
